IF YOU’RE PLANNING A BACKYARD WEDDING DUE TO COVID 19, YOU’LL LOVE THIS WEDDING FOR INSPIRATION!

When Alyssa and Dan first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a beautiful winery wedding with an intimate ceremony with all their family friends.. Little did we know Covid would change all that. Instead of canceling their entire day they decided they would elope with a small number of close family and friends. Later this year they will then celebrate with the rest of their crew. I'm not at all sad about how these changes had to happen because their day was so incredibly beautiful and fun.

The ceremony

The wedding took place outside at Dan's Childhood family home, and was a gorgeous intimate ceremony. Surrounded by 500 acres of beauty, old barns, and an 1800s home. They had personal vows they’d written themselves, which was just magical. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then we all hoped into the beautiful blue oldsmobile that Dan's brother restored. A beautiful( non humid) June day cruisin with the top down on the country roads. WHAT MORE COULD WE ASK FOR?!

The party

After cruisin around Iowa Falls, we made our way back for an intimate celebration that included not one, but two stunning cakes, champagne, and the sweetest first dances. Before we made our way back home we had to soak in that last bit of light. So we jumped in the car and explored more of the property until there was no more light. I would go back over and over again to photograph this lovely day. I can't wait to celebrate again with them at their reception in a few months.
